Dr. Hovhannisyan is a San Fernando Valley native who graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. From there, he went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry where he graduated summa cum laude.
Dr. Hovhannisyan is a San Fernando Valley native who graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. From there, he went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry where he graduated summa cum laude.
Dr. Hovhannisyan trained in advanced anterior segment care prescribing specialty scleral lenses for the management of keratoconus at Plaza Vision Center in Dallas, TX. At the Veterans Affair Hospital in New Orleans, he received further medical vision training in diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and glaucoma and served our veterans. He is also extensively trained in dry eye management from the Nanda Dry Eye Institute in Houston, TX.
Education
Dr. Hovhannisyan is an InfantSee provider and also an active member of the California Optometry Association (COA) and American Academy of Optometry (AAO) and is passionate about providing evidence-based eye care and being at the forefront of vision science.
